Built in Clay County, Florida

If we can dream it, we can build it — together.

— Dom Hicks, Founder

The STEM Network, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit bringing hands-on STEAM learning to K–5 students, educators, and families.

“The STEM Network, Inc. empowers K–5 students and families through hands-on STEAM learning, community-based workshops, and future-ready experiences that build curiosity, confidence, creativity, problem-solving, and resilience.”

Domanisha Hicks

Founder & Executive Director

A certified Florida Resiliency Coach, Ms. Dom brings more than two decades of experience across coaching, fitness and dance instruction, volunteer leadership, and small business.

As a former school PFA board secretary and volunteer coordinator, she learned what it takes to turn care into organized, consistent support. She chose Oakleaf as her village and built The STEM Network around one guiding principle: when teachers, students, and families are supported, communities thrive.

We strengthen the whole learning ecosystem.

Lasting opportunity is built when the adults around a child have the tools, confidence, and community to keep curiosity growing.

01

Support Educators

We connect teachers with practical tools, classroom resources, and professional development that help ideas become hands-on learning.

When teachers are supported, students soar.
02

Inspire Students

Our hands-on programs invite K–5 students to question, build, test, and try again — developing curiosity and future-ready skills along the way.

03

Empower Families

We give parents welcoming ways to participate, making families true partners in learning and turning STEM into a shared community experience.

She saw the gap — then built the bridge.

Domanisha “Ms. Dom” Hicks saw dedicated teachers stretching limited resources, students eager to explore and create, and parents ready to help but unsure where to begin. She believed there was a better way. The STEM Network was built to connect that energy — and turn it into opportunity.
